I have been working in the software development industry for 9+ years. I have a passion for great UX and UI designs to take the frustration out of using the web. I enjoy challenging the status quo of development paradigms that seek to "just get things done" and can sometimes forgo doing things the right way, or at least a better way. Meeting deadlines is definitely still important, but delivering high quality code is more important in my view. And to be perfectly honest, I have struggled with deadlines most of my life, but I am working to actively improve my time management and focus on making sure I can get things done on time and to a high degree of excellence. In January 2024 I also started a handyman business and am looking to grow it on the side as well. I've always had a passion for fixing things (both in code and in real life!) and I'm excited to grow in this new arena of entrepreneurship.In my personal life, I am a child of God, a husband, a father, and friend. I love the outdoors, going on hikes and bike rides with my family, and playing sports when I can make the time! I also love board games, video games, and just hanging out and talking with friends and people who are wiser than me.
