I have been an independent director of companies and statutory boards since the late 1990's and chaired the boards of some of those companies. Prior to that I had 14 years of experience in the banking sector, in particular corporate finance, and involved in advising companies on mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and other equity fundraisings. The initial years of my career were in the public service in the Air Force, in the Administrative Service and the then National Productivity BoardTogether with my wife and a priest from the Philippines, we form the international leadership team for Worldwide Marriage Encounter, a non-profit Catholic Movement that aims to strengthen marriages through marriage enrichment programmes in 90 countries.
