The challenge is to lead the “Nuevo Nivel Mina” planning team; the project is now under a complete redesign. New and more robust mine planning is needed, taking in to consideration new information, new criteria and technologies.

Newcrest Inc. and Codelco have signed cooperation agreements. Within these agreements there is a program for professional exchanges between the companies. The program includes been part of different departments in Newcrest’s Cadia Valley operations, been part of the production team and the mine planning team. And also a time in the Newcrest headquarters in Melbourne.

The challenge is to create and lead the “Nuevo Nivel Mina” Planning team. Nuevo Nivel Mina is one of most ambitious underground mining projects in the world. Is expected to start in 2020 and for next 60 years will be the only reserves source for El Teniente mine, with an estimate output of 137 kt/d according to actual mining plans. The project is now on the construction stages.The main responsibilities of the position are, to create the most profit mining plans for the project, study alternative plans for eventual delays in the construction or problems in the ramp up stages and make compatible the project with the actual running mines and future projects.

Mine resources administrator, keep the resources models up to the latest information related to the models. Generate models adecuates for special projects or special request.Long Term Plannig, generate production programs for the LOM, this involve select reserves, generte sequecences, always keeping in mind that the programs must be fasibles and triying to optimize the total value of the plan. Participate in the generation, development and technical evaluation of project related with the mine.

Leading a team of production open pit mine. Plan the daily work, to acomplish the production programs and mine development, taking into account the safety of both people and assets of the company. Facilitate the development of the people who are in my charge and always keeping the best work enviroment.

Assist in the generation of resource models of the mine. Assist in the generation of production plans of the mine.
