I provide research services to individuals and institutions. I design and execute experiments, surveys, and statistical analyses. I also work with clients to craft persuasive, scientifically rigorous white papers, academic articles, grant proposals, and presentations.

I help identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and equity of San Diego’s labor market, with a focus on meeting the needs of marginalized people. I dig into wonky projects like developing data-collection strategies, designing randomized controlled trials, analyzing Census data, and producing research reports. I also do community-facing work like advocating for better public policy, talking with employers about the benefits of hiring and promoting underrepresented workers, and developing collaborative, data-driven workforce development projects with partners across the region.

Worked with peers at JFI, MIT, and Duke to explore sustainable models for consumer debt relief. Analyzed credit bureau data, interviewed leaders in the consumer debt market, and worked with healthcare executives to develop strategies for converting medical debt into outcome-based loans.

Published research on strategic decision-making and regulatory politics. Led interdisciplinary laboratory for human-subject experiments. Taught causal inference and econometrics to PhD students in finance.

Earl Warren Fellow (UCSD’s top fellowship). Managed a behavioral-economics lab, overseeing 20 software programmers, translators, and assistants. Designed and conducted over 100 human-subject experiments including lab-in-the-field experiments on government corruption in Zambia. Taught graduate econometrics seminar.
