As a product manager at ESBE AB I was responsible for 50% of the product portfolio. The portfolio consists of both standard articles which can be found in the product catalogue but also customer specific solution that has been developed upon customer specific requests. Responsible for continuously ensuring the profitability, turnover and quality of the products. The product manager role is an important corner stone in the assortment board, to gather and present information about the market trends and needs. The assortment board is then responsible for making all the strategic decisions around new development projects based on the information provided by the product managers. As a product manager I was responsible for initiating new development projects within the organization. During the whole project, the product manager is considered as the “owner” for the development project. The role as a product manager at ESBE is a very central role in the company, which means involvement on a daily basis of processes, production, quality and sales as well as planning for future strategic decisions and directions.

Responsible for coordinating the Sales team’s requests with the R&D team for customized products. Responsible for organizing, follow up and structurizing the process of handling the customized products from first inquiry to serial production. Design new and taylor made fastening solutions for heavy duty vehicles and transport vehicles. Work with continuous improvements of our own designed products. Design, evaluate and test our products compared to competition solutions in specific customer cases involving tensile testing, mounting testing, prototype builds to provide the best suitable and cost effective solution.
