I have been involve in the insurance industry for over 20 years, working 6 years as an Underwriter/Complaints Officer with a general motor insurer and over 15 years as a commercial mobile plant and machinery underwriter. During this time I have been involved in underwriting everything from liability products, endorsements, renewals, new business and both public liability and product liability whilst working within my underwriting authority as a Senior Underwriter in insurance cover associated with the mobile plant and machinery industry. Previous to this I was employed in the Hospitality industry, working as a manger, supervisor of Hospitality outlets and storeman. This Has given me a very practical experience in customer service which I have been able to successfully transfer into my Insurance career.Working with Fortron Insurance group my prior experience in customer service proved very fruitful with the responsibility of complaints officer where I handled all complaints within the company within the IDR (Internal Disputes Resolution)Process, reviewing the underwriting guidelines and formulating submissions to The Insurance Ombudsman if issues escalated.Just previous to my current role I worked for UAA (Underwriting Agencies of Australia) for 7.5 years as a Senior Underwriter in which I working within the Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne Offices underwriting policies for Mobile plant and Equipment.Now currently working for Chubb Australia in which I am underwriting policies for Mobile Plant and Equipment as well as General PropertyLook forward to continuing my career within the Insurance field utilising my past experience to gain opportunity to learn more and more
