Daniel Esqueda is a dedicated senior at Aptos High School, passionately pursuing his interest in Political Science and government administration. He plans to further his education at a four-year university in the fall of 2025, with aspirations to major in Political Science, along with a minor in Philosophy.As the Student Trustee for the Pajaro Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees, Daniel represents and advocates for over 15,000 students. This role has deepened his commitment to public service, allowing him to engage in impactful discussions about educational needs and policy improvements for his peers.Daniel’s professional experience includes working at Marini’s At The Beach, a candy and taffy shop at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Starting as a sales associate in April 2022, he quickly advanced to the role of a Sales Team Leader, where he has excelled in customer service, staff training, and overseeing confection processes.Through these experiences, Daniel has developed strong leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills that complement his academic and advocacy work. After earning his bachelor’s degree, he intends to pursue a master’s and Ph.D. in either Public Administration or Public Policy to further his expertise and prepare for a lifelong career as a City Manager, dedicated to making meaningful contributions to government and public service.
