About Daniel Ess
My research group uses and develops computational chemistry tools to discover organic and organometallic reaction mechanisms, reactivity principles, and design catalysts that are experimentally realized (https://www.chem.byu.edu/faculty/daniel-h-ess/). I also created and co-direct the BYU Chem and BioChem Camps for children and youth ages 9-14 (https://chemcamp.byu.edu/). I also direct an NSF funded REU center for visiting undergraduates to perform research (https://reu.chem.byu.edu/).
