• Prepare and review design change packages authorizing work in the plant consisting of a technical justification, planning instructions, testing instructions, drawing changes and other document changes• Interface with other departments to obtain input and ensure new designs account for all aspects associated with the proposed change to the plant• Work with the craft to resolve installation issues in a timely manner• Lead Responsible Engineer for the following major projects overseeing contracted engineers to ensure design quality and schedule are maintained and procedures are followed:o Hardened Containment Vent System per Nuclear Regulator Commission (NRC) Order EA-13-109 in response to Fukushima accident in Japan Responsible to ensure full compliance with all requirements of the NRC Ordero Reduction of High Pressure Water System design pressure Assist with development of technical documents and proposed modifications to justify reducing system design pressure

Ford (CVN78) aircraft carrier• Resolve issues onsite to reduce construction downtime• Propose and incorporate process and design improvements• Lead Engineer for reactor compartment secondary shieldingPropulsion Plant Structures and Shielding:• Perform modeling and analysis of various Engine Room component foundations and pipe hangers for the Gerald R. Ford (CVN78) aircraft carrier• Review drawings associated with foundations and hangers for accuracy and completeness• Write calculation packages detailing the modeling and analysis performed on foundations
