Engineering Supervisor supporting D454 tactical software engineering configuration, requirements, and subcontractor management.

In the Test department for D440 Payload Launch Control. Dealing with initial system concepts, requirement analysis, design/development, hardware and software integration, system integration, test, delivery, and customer interaction involved with delivering the Weapons Launch Control for the Nuclear Submarines built at Electric Boat.

In charge of the operation and maintenance of the diesel electric power plant of the vessel to which I am assigned. Including fresh water supply, waste water, sewage, lube oil, fuel oil, ships air, HVAC, ballast, and electrical distribution systems, as well as the communications link from maintenance support to all vessel systems and engineering personnel. Plants for Otto Candies vessels are powered by caterpillar 3516s or caterpillar 3512s diesel generator sets connected to a Siemens electrical board. Plant is DP2 classified and ran as such according to FMEA and Noble Denton requirements.

Designed and engineered the conceptual submarine for the author Robert Hodam in his fiction novel "The Ark". Made certain all design criteria (Power demand, vessel speed, ships stability, materials and equipment onboard, etc.) was calculated to sound engineering principles for a semi-submersible survival vessel.

As a Site Supervisor for the Vessels of Opportunity program I was a subcontractor for BP through Parsons. Working with BP to deploy privately owned vessels to identify, contain, and collect any oil found offshore from the Deep Water Horizon oil spill. At the height of the program I managed 13 Parsons employees and 204 vessels. In charge of the deployment locations, vessel inspection, training of vessel crew, vessel safety, oil containment supply distribution, decontamination of vessel and personnel involved in active cleanup, data transfer to BP dispatch, and working with local government, coast guard, and port authority.
