Part of a new dedicated project team selected to work on a specialized network installation project, spanning across all of the AWS APAC sites.• Travel to sites throughout APAC to project manage/ kickoff new projects• Track equipment movement from Manufacturer to site• Ensure correct power configuration (working with COLO or in house Facility Engineers) is available• Work closely with Network Engineers + cabling vendors ensuring cables/ fibers are installed correctly• Troubleshoot network/ hardware related issues before handing devices off to InfraOp teams

Physical installing and troubleshooting of a wide variety of Data Center Networking Racks & Equipment:•Locate suitable rack space•Energise rack positions•Receiving and install equipment•Reviewing cutsheets•Cable up and test all new links•Hand rack and equipment off.

Linux Hardware Technician:Troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues on a wide variety of DataCenter Servers.•Working on 24x7 On-Call shift rotations•Data Center primary point of contact for all High Severity incidents•Managing and prioritizing work through Trouble Ticket system-• Hardware troubleshooting of wide range of servers• Hardware repair, building and server configuration• RAID troubleshooting and configuration

Mobile Repair Engineer working between a number of Amazon Data Centre sites within Dublin. The position requires hardware repair work on Data Centre Servers. Replacing faulty HDD's, SSD'S, PSU, BBU, memory, backplanes etc. Gathering daily work from an Amazon ticketing system.

Assist Application Developers in Server Infrastructure Support. Monitor and control Server Operations. Perform OS and Network changes. Maintain Asset Mgmt configuration data base. Own and deliver projects.• Remote Incident and Problem Mgmt for Windows Server OS in Data Centre• Submission of requests for change to servers to appropriate change teams• Asset configuration Mgmt Operations for Server Infrastructure• Reporting on status of Servers against known KPI

I do freelance work for Jump films as a camera operator and editor.

I started up Katriver Media through which I was able to get involved with a number of digital video projects. Work included: Concept development, Camera Operator, Editor (Final Cut Pro), Producer and Director. My projects include documentaries, music videos, corporate videos, while my passion definitely lies within documentary productions.I would consider this part of my life to be more of a serious hobby rather than a 'serious job'. Creating videos is something I enjoy extremely. I love playing around with new cameras. I also always seem to be modifying my computer to stay current with the latest video editing technology, which nicely fits into my passion for the IT sector.
