I am currently working as a Principal Fuel Systems Engineer for the V-280 program at Bell Flight.I have fluid systems experience on various platforms. Prior to joining Bell Flight I was a Lead Fuel Systems engineer within the Engine and Power division of Honeywell. I also held a lead over a liquid cooling system on a flying test bed aircraft at Northrop Grumman. In this role I was responsible for the design, analysis, maintenance, testing and architecture for the entire liquid cooling system.I have broad experience in aircraft fuel systems that includes aircraft production support, system design and definition, system build and spatial integration, component design, project management, supplier management, and system analysis.

Sr. Principal Liquid Cooling System ArchitectNorthrop Grumman Aug 2019 - Aug 2021Falls Church, Va, UsSr. Principal mechanical engineer – Flying test bed August 2019 - Present • Liquid cooling system owner on a flying test-bed aircraft. Responsible for designing layouts in support of liquid cooled equipment, fluid thermal and pressure analysis using Siemens Amesim, interface management, supplier management, test support, build support, design improvements and system maintenance. Experienced in specifying pressure switches, flow meters, pressure sensors, temperature sensors, temperature control valves, pump curves. Successfully implemented new liquid cooling architecture in 2020, supported the production team during the installation and system fill. System performed as expected. • Developed the LCS plant model able to predict system pressures. This analysis was outsourced before this effort. The Amesim model matched test data as well as previous analysis results. The model can be configured to quickly analyze new configurations. • Mentoring a junior engineer in developing a test plan to characterize flow control valves that will be used in a future configuration. • Initiated the development of a system description document to record system function, interfaces, configurations, component descriptions, system changes. The document is a record of all the technical knowledge known about the system. • Leading the effort to procure a new ground-cooling cart to support ground integration and testing. Developing requirements, collaborating with test conductor to understand how the system supports overall test procedure, interacting directly with supplier to ensure cooling cart will meet our requirements. • Responsible for preparing documentation and presenting in flight readiness reviews to demonstrate system safety for flight. • Mentoring junior engineer through a system volume analysis in order to document system volume and provide data needed to reduce system accumulator capacity. -
Environmental Control System Design EngineerNorthrop Grumman Oct 2017 - Aug 2019Falls Church, Va, Us• Releasing engineering drawings for Conditioned Air System including installation drawings, detailed parts, and assemblies. Simultaneously managing a high quantity of design packages through the release process to meet monthly release goals. Successfully coordinating with stakeholders to ensure we release parts with high first time quality. • Review designs for engineering quality and technical accuracy. • Designed and integrated the layout of the Breathing Gas System. -
777X Fuel System Design EngineerBoeing Mar 2014 - Sep 2017Arlington, Va, Us• Leading a team of designers through engineering part definition releases. Coordinating all efforts to obtain reviews and signatures from stakeholders while meeting aggressive schedule.• Utilized automation tools within CATIA V5 to automate tasks and cut touch time for designers by 75 percent. This tool standardizes the engineering design and reduces resources needed to complete the statement of work. • Serving as back up lead for the design group; leading and helping the team through design decisions, schedule development, integration design decisions, assessing impact of proposed changes, and providing work direction. • Responsible for the overall development of system installation documents used to standardize installation solutions across the fuel system while meeting bonding and grounding, electromagnetic effects, corrosion protection and build design requirements.• Using relational design to perform failure analysis on fuel tubing installations to meet Federal Aviation Authority 14 CFR 25.981 requirements (Fuel tank ignition prevention). • Leading the design and testing of injection molded parts to be used in the fuel system using CATIA V5 modeling software. New parts will reduce system weight, improve mechanic confined space ergonomics and meet electromagnetic effects requirements. • Led cross-functional team including finance estimators and manufacturing engineers through high level economic trade studies to improve system design, installation costs, and part costs. • Documented system design requirements to assist designers in meeting all design requirements. Informally teach designers and younger engineers about electromagnetic effects requirements and fuel system design requirements. -
787 Fuel Systems Design And Integration EngineerBoeing Mar 2012 - Mar 2014Arlington, Va, Us• Provided production support for both 787-8 and 787-9 models. Played a key technical role in resolving technical issues during the production test for the 787-9 venting system. Served as an opportunity to teach mechanics as well as other engineers about the fuel venting system in order to successfully troubleshoot and resolve the production test issues.• Led multiple design changes in order to ensure design drawings met all requirements. Properly released engineering drawings to meet GD&T requirements to have new parts properly manufactured by the supplier.• Led design effort investigating various ways of re-designing the venting system in order to support production rate increases. • Responsible for design maintenance for various system installations, nitrogen generation, fuel feed, refuel, fire extinguishing, and tank vent systems. • Provided technical support to partner engineers to promptly resolve technical design problems while meeting engineering release schedules. -
