My key roles at APA include:• Assisting the Group Treasurer in managing the issuance of new debt to meet capital requirements or for refinancing, including developing information memorandums, managing due diligence processes, KYC, creation of business descriptions, and working with external arrangers, lawyers and accountants in the production of key debt documentation;• Monitoring and managing borrowing costs at a group level and at bank facility, debt instrument and derivative level, including analysing and recommending optimal debt drawings, preparation of forecasts and calculation of weighted average borrowing costs;• Monitoring and managing liquidity to ensure sufficient cash to meet obligations and sufficient headroom in debt facilities to fund capital requirements; • Preparing monthly reports for the Board of Directors on debt composition, treasury risks, financial ratio calculations and reporting Treasury Policy compliance. I am also responsible for preparing the monthly equity reports to the Board including tracking key investor ownership and composition of ownership amongst the group’s total issued equity capital;• Middle office operations for FX and other derivative transactions;• Preparing and monitoring annual treasury budgets, including quarterly reforecasts of borrowing costs;• Maintaining syndicated and bilateral facility agreement requirements, including monitoring the information and reporting requirements of each facility, providing required notices and reports and communicating with facility agents in relation to bank queries and consents; • Preparing compliance certificates on a quarterly basis, including the calculation of financial ratios such as ICR, gearing, DSCR and Net debt to RAB;• Liaising with credit rating agencies and preparing analyses to satisfy rating requirements; • Performing reconciliation of treasury system reports; and• Other ad hoc analyses as required from the business

In 2006 I was selected from a significantly large pool of applicants to join Deloitte, a global big 4 accounting firm, for a highly sought after role as a graduate in the Financial Services Industry team of the Enterprise Risk Services group where I developed strong technical skills in internal audit, risk management and consulting, primarily for banking and insurance groups and within corporate treasuries. In 2007 the group was restructured as Risk Services under which I focused mainly on internal audits, risk management, board/stakeholder reporting and control implementation. I worked largely with government agencies and blue chip corporates. In 2008 I was promoted from Analyst to Senior Analyst after proven and continued excellence in managing teams and delivering on project objectives for clients. From 2008, I joined the Financial Instrument Advisory Service team to re-focus my career on treasury and financial instruments. Through this team I was able to work closely with corporate treasuries, including with CFOs and Group Treasurers, on risk management advisory, internal and external audits, hedge accounting advisory, valuations and treasury policy development for a number of large Australian businesses.
