I helm the Seattle-based mathematics education consulting business Math for Love, and as the head of a small education startup, my duties are diverse. I studied algebraic geometry at the University of Washington, receiving a PhD in 2010. During my studies, I taught and TA'd courses from Calculus to Differential Equations to Math for Future High School Teachers. I also received a GK-12 grant from 2006-2008, for which I paired with a local elementary school and worked with teachers and students. I also received an Excellence in Teaching Award during my time at the UW, and received a grant to develop a seminar series called Invitation to Mathematics.
