At Eton I am responsible for measuring DNA sample and primer concentrations as well as make necessary dilutions. I also prepare 96-Well Plates by mixing varying amounts of several components in each well for proper DNA analysis. Other responsibilities include loading, running, and maintaining DNA sequencers and software to ensure proper runs and accurate information sent to customers on time.

For my senior design project at the University of Connecticut I worked on a sponsored project under Cabot Corporation. I created a system of equations using MATLAB and chemical engineering resources to optimize the design of a distributor plate for a fluidized bed reactor. Solidworks and COMSOL were utilized to create a 3D model of the distributor plate and tests were run to simulate the attrition of carbon black pellets with different design constraints.
