Part of the orientation process for incoming ERS students is to successfully complete a 24-day wilderness trip. I was an instructor for the must recent course (5/25-6/17). I helped to lead a trip that focused on personal growth through the use of self-leadership, reflection, and learning new outdoor skills. Students were consistently pushed out of their comfort zone into their learning zone. All 5 of our students successfully completed the trip and were welcomed into the ERS community on course to be the person they wanted to be.

I developed experiential learning based lessons for 5th and 6th grade students around Oregon.I used these lessons to train high school volunteers on teaching methods, content delivery, and group management, so they could deliver these lessons to the younger students visiting NWOSS. I also helped with day-to-day logistics of the program
