Customer Team Leader
Responsible for the daily running of the store required me to be the person in control (PIC), ensuring the management of staff, customers and external contractors are at the forefront of all operations. This role allowed me to better understand the complexities that come with leading a team, putting into practice the theoretical knowledge learnt at university into the business to better operational activities.Durning my tenure as a store we have seen a reduction of leakage and increase in stock accuracy. Going from what was previously 55% to upwards of the mid 80's. This was attained through better implementation of store activities and increasing in staff that are now trained to do more complex activities. This not only helped share workload but allowed others in the store to develop beyond what they were previously capable of. The transferable type of leadership style is something I’ve always wanted to adopt, as it has seen develop to the type of person I am today, feeling a sense of gratitude in helping those in and around me to develop as I do myself.Overall, my experience as team leader has allowed me to further my leadership and organisational skills within a fast paced environment, with the hope I can take forward these skills learnt into other business and apply myself accordingly.
