After an Honorable Discharge from the US Army, I have been serving the community as a Law Enforcement Officer for the last 18 years. Recently I served as the department head for Public Works for over two years as the acting Director, overseeing an overall budget in excess of 4 million, and several departments. These include Facilities, Streets/Storm drain, Sewer/Water, Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the Madera Municipal Airport. All while remaining a Police Lieutenant with the City of Madera.In addition, I founded a highly-acclaimed non-profit organization known as OLIVE, which assists women involved in human trafficking. OLIVE was selected in 2021 as the Non-profit of the Year by Senator Caballero's office of which I was deeply honored.As a Police Lieutenant, I have been the Division Leader within my organization of the Patrol Division (with over 55 sworn officers), Administrative Division (non-sworn personnel, code enforcement, internal affairs, and police budget), and Investigation Division.
