About Daniel Francis
Friends describe me as a someone who is exuberant, effervescent, & passionate about inspiring & encouraging others. Our Mounties football coach challenged me with taking on leadership responsibilities & persuading the rest of the team to "give it their all." The team worked extremely hard & had a terrific season. I strive to put my heart & soul into whatever I do. I was the driving force behind the founding of "The Varsity Project" last semester, a club aimed at bringing together university athletes, local Sackville youth, and the surrounding community. Our goal was to get local youngsters interested in organised sports, events, and fundraisers by instructing and coaching them with Mt. A student-athletes.We started with a proposal, gathered funds, secured field & court permits, enlisted peers and equipment, enrolled kids, & finished the summer with a successful inaugural program. I take my responsibilities and contributions to the success of a team very seriously. I try to approach undertakings with enthusiasm, passion, & optimism. This year, I agreed to be the Mt. A campus bar manager, where I am in charge of staffing, daily organisation and counts, & ensuring everyone follows Covid protocols. I also work some shifts at the Mt A Athletic Center's reception desk, where I encourage everyone who comes in to work safely and to persevere in their quest to improve. We got started. To stay in shape, I strive to set a good example by working out on a regular basis. When an injury necessitated surgery, I was driven to finish my recovery as soon as possible so that I could return to the gym & maintain the athleticism I'd gained on the football field. I'd define myself as sociable, committed, charming, self-assured, compassionate, courteous, kind, & responsible. I feel it is vital to be conscious of other people's thoughts & moods, and to work hard to support people who are going through difficult times or suffering with mental health difficulties. I aim to give my full attention to my responsibilities. I need to make the most of each day.
