Dan Friedlander is Senior Director – Tax Operations for Pfizer. In this role, Dan is responsible for the tax operations of Pfizer’s European and Americas Tax Centers which includes the US GAAP financial tax reporting of Pfizer’s US and European operations, as well as the tax compliance and local statutory tax reporting of Pfizer’s major European operations. Dan also provides significant tax accounting guidance on many of Pfizer’s global projects, including acquisitions and dispositions, as well as on other company initiatives and the adoption of new accounting standards.Dan joined Pfizer in February 2005 as a Manager in Pfizer’s Global Tax Department and has held various positions within their Financial Tax Reporting group. In 2006, he was one of the first members of their London based “European Tax Center” as a Senior Manager for Pfizer’s Spain, Italian and French tax operations. In this role, he had country responsibility for corporate tax compliance, US GAAP tax accounting, local GAAP tax accounting and audit management. Prior to joining Pfizer, Dan began his career at KPMG, LLP, where he worked for more than 5 years. Dan holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Brooklyn College and an MBA in Finance, Management and Law & Business from New York University Stern School of Business. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
