I am currently working for London Underground on the refurbishment and servicing of Escalators.I have been involved numerous refurbishments of Escalators at numerous Stations which include Warren Street Station and Baker Street Station that due to our team came in early by a month. I was also part of the team that refurbished 3 of the Escalators at Victoria bringing the job in 3 and half months early, which was a huge achievement. Victoria is London Undergrounds most heavily used station and the three escalators carry 44 million passenger journeys a year. I have also been part of the servicing team. This involved using preventative maintenance techniques such as inspecting and greasing, periodic maintenance techniques doing 6 monthly services on the escalators and Breakdown maintenance such as replacing chains, bearings, newel wheels and treads.During the London 2012 Olympics and Para-Olympics I was part of a rapid response team, this involved flexible work dates and times so the Escalators on critical stations could be covered at all times, to ensure the smooth running of service was maintained throughout.

I worked for the Otis Metro Division for 2 years, working solely on London Underground. I have been involved in the installation of four heavy duty escalators at Stratford station. Previously I worked as part of the installation team installing the ten new escalators at Kings Cross. I have also carried out refurbishment and repairs on a number of escalators at other underground stations such as re-chaining and stepping at south Kensington and Piccadilly.

I was an apprentice for Thames water as a mechanical and electrical engineer. I have completed my off the job training at Kingston College, which involved working with machinery, electrical equipment and hand skills in the workshop. I also achieved my BTEC National Certificate in Operations & Maintenance Engineering.
