I’m a non-traditional techie who specializes in converting messy data into insightful data visualizations. As a child of migrant farmworkers, I’ve always been aware of the value of hard work in achieving any level of success. This has led to me being a driven and dedicated person who doesn’t quit easily.I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Riverside with a BA in Psychology, Phi Beta Kappa. At UC Riverside's Adversity and Adaption lab, I provided data cleaning, data coding, and data management assistance of physiological data of at-risk social groups.During my Bootcamp Graduation project, I used Python to preprocess, analyze, and form segments of customers based on similar purchasing characteristics to inform the marketing strategy of a company. I also created a Tableau dashboard thereafter to present the solution.Another project I enjoyed was developing a dashboard by using Python to fetch and preprocess Google Analytics data and Plotly to create custom interactive charts. Then I used Dash and CSS to style and make the dashboard responsive. My current technical arsenal includes:• Numerical analyses and data mining (Python’s Pandas and NumPy packages and Excel)• Data Visualization (Python's Seaborn, Matplotlib, Plotly packages)• Dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, and Plotly Dash)• Relational Databases (PostgreSQL and MySQL)• Web tools (Python’s Beautiful Soup modules and JavaScript)Apart from these technical skills, I’m a team player and possess good communication skills. I can work on my own and as part of a team. I also like to keep learning and improving my skills not only to grow as a professional but also as a person.
