Daniel is the Accenture APAC Lead for Digital Assets and Currencies. In this Lead Sales role, Daniel is focused on sales origination, delivery, and go-to-market strategy planning and execution.Daniel is also the Global Lead for Compliance, Risk & Regulation Lead within the digital assets and currency space where he focuses on mitigating risk, building compliance, governance and target operating models for clients and a thorough analysis of global regulation.Daniel has worked on several client projects including:• Blockchain and Web3 sales and advisory services relating to compliance frameworks, risk, regulation and overall public policy (including cryptocurrency, tokenization, stablecoins and CBDC). • Driving go-to-market strategies and expansion across the Middle East for telecommunications, Web3 and banking and capital markets enterprises, • Managing Web3 platform systems integration into a Central Bank, • Advising on mBridge compliance and risk issues, such as frameworks and operating models,• Working on wholesale CBDC strategy for a European Central Bank, • Advising on complex regulatory, risk and compliance issues for Fortune 100 entertainment and telecommunication players moving into Web3 (staking, Layer 1 and Layer 2), • Commercial bank risk analysis on custody platforms, • Creation of POC prototype for stablecoin assets and liabilities analysis for global banking institution,• Working with global regulators to protect client licensing position and to assist with policy positions.Daniel was previously the Director of Legal Services at Accenture for Global Blockchain, Finance and Business Process Operations Regulation. Daniel advised business leadership on creation and shaping of their market offerings and directed their compliance and regulatory position. He regularly worked with external counsel, regulators and lobbyists in this role. He also reviewed, advised, negotiated and structured complex transactions to the extent they were impacted by global regulations. Daniel has lived and worked in many cities including Sydney, Chicago, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Moscow, and now Dubai, as well as temporary assignments in Hong Kong, New York, San Francisco and Oslo. He has dealt with issues including outsourcing, cloud, employment, IP, export control, data privacy, dispute resolution and managing external counsel. Daniel received a Bachelor of Laws Degree and a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Politics (graduated with Honors) from the University of Wollongong, Australia, and is an admitted attorney in Australia (NSW).
