As the Director of Design in Preconstruction at Mowery Construction, I lead the Design-Build division of an ENR Top 400 Contractor, managing a full-service Architecture, Interior Design, and Engineering department, and serving as Officer and Manager of Mowery Construction MA, LLC. I actively support Business Development through prospecting meetings, visioning and concept creation, proposals and presentations. I oversee the development and coordination of our wide range of projects from conception to execution. I adapt our Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes and drive Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) methodologies to best meet the cost, time, quality, and sustainability needs of our clients, while enhancing the efficiency, communication, and collaboration of our turnkey team, and maximizing stakeholder value.I am committed to evolving the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations (AECO) industry through lean practices, procurement and prefabrication methods, and collaborative partnerships, and to leveraging advanced uses of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other cutting-edge Construction Technology for optimized project outcomes.With a diverse portfolio spanning Industrial, Logistics, Automotive, Aviation, Science & Technology, Healthcare, Civic, Education, Senior Living, and Multifamily projects, I bring a wealth of experience as a Principal Architect to every endeavor. I am passionate about capitalizing on my skills to serve clients and society, and promote positive change within the industry. I believe that a successful project is one where authorship is shared and blurred across the entire community and project team.Outside of my professional roles, I am actively involved in community leadership as an Officer and Director on Boards of non-profit organizations, bridging the cultural heritage, economic development, and sustainability and environmental sectors, and dedicated to educating and advocating for historic preservation, interpretation, and adaptive reuse.
