About Daniel Gammage
Currently, the Director of Kinectrics’ Life Cycle Management and Component Integrity Service Line, part of the Materials and Major Component group. Daniel is a Professional Engineer (Licensed in Ontario and New Brunswick) and has dedicated his career to working within the nuclear industry and has done so since 2005, with a strong background in fitness-for-service assessments, steam generator design & ageing, nuclear plant component and material degradation mechanisms, and life cycle management across the entire plant. He has a strong understanding of various steam generator, feeder, fuel channel, and other component NDE techniques, degradation mechanisms and fitness-for-service. Experience in working with various nuclear industry codes and standards and in working with various nuclear regulatory and rule-making bodies including the CNSC, NRC, CSA, COG, and EPRI. Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities – developing assessment methodologies, interpreting inspection data and distilling required information. Experience in working with data obtained during product testing and extensive inspections, such as eddy current data, rigorous visual inspections, and various other technologies. He is also highly engaged in supporting the nuclear industry through in-depth engagement in the Canadian Nuclear Society (CNS) having held a number of Executive Positions over several years including 2nd VP (2015-2016), 1st VP (2016-2017), President (2017-2018), Past President (2018-2019), & Treasurer (2019-2021). He is also currently a member of CNS Council, a position I have held since 2012. Over his career, Daniel has also Chaired a number of conferences including INCC 2015 - International Nuclear Components Conference and the 2017 CNS Annual Conference in Niagara Falls. Daniel has also served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA). He has also served in numerous other positions as a member of the organizing committees of many industry conferences including several CNS Annual Conferences, and many technical conferences including Chemistry, Materials, Corrosion, Environmental Degradation, Fitness-for-Service, and others. Daniel has also authored papers and presented at many conferences in Canada, the United States, and Romania on various topics of interest to the nuclear power industry.

Service Line Director, Life Cycle Management & Component Integrity
CurrentLife Cycle Management & Component Integrity (LCM&CI) is a Directorate within Materials and Major Components and includes three main Sections:-Fitness-For-Service & Component Analysis-Life Cycle & Asset Management-Machine Learning & Artificial IntelligenceWithin these Sections a number of services are provided to Kinectrics' many clients, the Directorate is.
Section Manager - Component Integrity & Inspection Engineering
- Component Integrity & Inspection Engineering (CI&IE) is a section within Major Component Engineering and is responsible for the following technical areas for Nuclear Components:-Risk Informed Engineering-Steam.
- Risk Informed Engineering:-Production of probabilistic and statistically-based operational assessments for degradation mechanisms affecting various plant components-Utilize advanced statistical techniques to assess.
- Steam Generator Assessment:-Provide full scale operational & outage support, specialized analysis, and life cycle management for SGs and PHs-Preparation of life cycle management documents and outage scope.
