Provide legal support for the trading & marketing operations of PCIA and its subsidiaries, including crude oil, refined products, NGLs and natural gas. Provide legal advice and assist in contract negotiations regarding purchase & sale transactions, trade financing, credit support and office operations while ensuring compliance with PetroChina’s corporate policies and all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Dan is experienced in negotiating and drafting various wholesale and retail commodity master agreements, including the ISDA, EEI and NAESB, along with their respective schedules and annexes, as well as margining agreements, deal-specific master purchase and sale agreements, netting agreements, letters of credit and guarantees.Prior to joining the firm, Dan worked for two years in energy trading, energy marketing, supply and transportation as an energy trading attorney for a global oil and gas company. Prior to this, he served for eight years as Vice President for a multinational financial services corporation, supporting its commodities division in sales and trading of electricity, natural gas, metals, coal and renewable energy assets.
