About Daniel Garlock
My career has evolved around improvement and/or development of processes, systems, components, and departments. As a Manufacturing Engineer, I have worked closely with various department personnel to improve quality of plastic components, job functionality/training, performances of molds/dies, create/maintain drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MasterCAM. As a Teacher, I have taught Microsoft operating systems and computer networking. In both cases, I have designed, developed and implemented new programs/systems to improve functionality and capabilities. With my current employer I began as an Extrusion Process Technician on the production floor. This enabled me to gain the necessary knowledge and capability of the manufacturing processes and company methods/systems. A promotion led to the development of a new department: Prototype/Hand Cuts. This involves scheduling the fabrication of a prototype component. A part may get fabricated on the CNC-Router which requires a 3D drawing made in MasterCAM and G-Codes generated. After a short time, another promotion to Manufacturing Engineer. This position opened all aspects to manufacturing for my involvement. I look for any areas for improvements, reductions, capabilities, and reliabilities with the goal of company, personal, and professional growth.
Listed skills include Manufacturing, Plastic Extrusion, Injection Molding, Manufacturing Engineering, and 42 others.
