The AmeriCorps Volunteer Infrastructure Project (VIP) is a 1700 hour/year volunteer contract where I am paired with a single non-profit organization to serve with them by expanding their infrastructure, capacity, and productivity by developing volunteer roles, organizing volunteer function within events, creating volunteer opportunities, recruiting and appreciating volunteers, building new connections, and much more.My Partner Site for both my first and second year is Solano Land Trust. After the first year of serving with them, I knew I had to come back for a second term with AmeriCorps and return once again to my family within the Solano Land Trust. Our mission statement is to "Inspire a love of the land and preserve it for people, food, and the natural environment. The work we do goes beyond conserving land; it's also about ensuring people's relationship to the land remains strong."
