Assistant To The Deputy Chief Clerk
CurrentIn this multifaceted role, I deliver administrative support to the Deputy Chief Clerk and contribute to oversight of the Queens Board of Elections as a primary point-person with the Registration, Absentee, and Poll Worker departments (150 employees).My administrative responsibilities include managing the Deputy Chief Clerk’s calendar, scheduling meetings, and screening a high volume of constituent telephone calls. Additionally, I strategically coordinate training schedules on behalf of Trainers who are responsible for educating newly hired Poll Workers.In this capacity, I am also accountable for assigning several hundred Poll Workers to 250 poll sites throughout Queens based on qualifications and place of residence. Working collaboratively with the Registration department, I review and verify documentation, log registered voters into the AVID system, and perform bi-partisan quality control of the entire registration process. Additionally, I support the investigation of voter fraud claims received from the general public as required.Of note, I organized several thousand ballots and managed Excel data entry during a high-profile hand-count process in December 2022. By providing accurate real-time updates to candidates and lawyers, I helped to ensure a transparent and bi-partisan process.
