I am currently employed as a waiter at the Argyll Street branch of the Angus Steakhouse. As well as providing table service of a high quality, one of my main responsibilities is also opening and setting up the restaurant in the morning. Often I do this singlehandedly. I am also often responsible for receiving the bar deliveries and checking the stock levels of the front of house materials. During this time period I also filled the position of a food runner and bartender at the Green Door Steakhouse and the Steak & Co steakhouse, which form a part of the Angus Company.

I joined the Holiday Club scheme as a play leader in 2008, and worked there for four years every summer and during every other school break. This job required me to have both a calm disposition if a child should cause disruption, but also a welcoming and open persona in order for the children to feel they could come to me and other members staff in case of any problems. One of my key responsibilities was to keep the children entertained and engaged, to do this I created activities for the children to participate in, this included organising things such as sporting activities, or supervising them as they used the ICT facilities. I was qualified to look after up to 15 children at any one time, and was able to meet their required needs. On occasion I would assist taking the children on outings; I was responsible for making sure that they conducted themselves in a positive and respectful manner whilst they were in public places.
