As General Manager of RPS’ Brisbane planning and development business, I lead a multi-disciplinary team of 150+ urban designers, urban planners, landscape architects, economists and surveyors to achieve great outcomes for RPS clients and their projects. I’m fortunate to work amongst some of Queensland’s most experienced consultants who have delivered ground-breaking projects in SEQ since the early 90’s, including catalytic master planned greenfield and urban renewal communities.As an urban designer, I have over 20 years experience “on the tools” in private practice providing due diligence advice, commercially astute land use and structure planning solutions, detailed and innovative master plan concepts, community creation initiatives, and strategic project advice to a broad range of urban, industrial, resource focused and rural communities.I’ve purposely acquired an extensive knowledge of domestic building techniques, current construction costs and contemporary housing solutions which I combine with an intimate understanding of land markets and demographic profiles. This allows me to provide commercially aware, creative community solutions and assist clients with the development of effective built form control devices including Building Design Guidelines, Plans of Development, Character Control Plans and building covenantsI have also lectured at QUT in recent years on the topic of Land Development Processes; been a guest speaker at a number of industry related workshops; and facilitated project focused vision making and project design forums.
