Admitted to a select community of experienced educators and alumni of Alliance for Decision Education education programs. Providing expertise and insights to help shape and inform the Alliance’s future education initiatives for implementation of Decision Education in classrooms.

I represent all IB Diploma Programs in the state of Michigan on the IBSOM board that supports our 90+ IB programs in the state. We work to coordinate schools, provide professional learning, and advocate for schools at the state level to bring better access and opportunities for our IB schools.

I will be engaging staff, students, families, and community members in the IB curriculum along with mentoring teachers to promote effective instruction. I also support staff with IB DP curriculum development, expectations, rules, and policies.

I helped create the math department by writing the curriculum for 4 out of the 5 math courses currently offered. I currently teach IB Mathematics SL, IB Mathematics HL, and Integrated Mathematics 3. I am also the school scheduler in charge of creating both the student and teacher schedules at the school. I work as the StuGo advisor, Spirit Committee.

In this position I have created curriculum for the online mathematics modules (Statistics and Geometry) for the program. I meet with students via Google Hangouts to help with their mathematics work from home. I also grade the work for both Algebra II and Statistics. I help facilitate conversations and feedback with the additional online content coaches as.

I am currently grading Applications and Interpretations HL Paper 3 for the May IB exam sessions. I have also revieweed Internal Assessments and Extended Essays for mathematics as well. In my role, I have been trained to use the IB rubrics to grade, provide feedback, and leave comments on the students externally and internally graded papers.

I helped develop the school during its 2nd year of existence and created curriculum maps for Geometry, PreCalculus, and AP Statistics. As part of the school leadership team and math department chair, I helped develop the college prep culture through our school data and reports. I also worked as the programmer by developing all the courses, classes, teacher.
