My role on the Accessible Transport Advisory Committee involves advising and reporting to the Minister for Transport about improving disability access to transport in Victoria.

My role involves providing Communication Access training and assessments to businesses to ensure they are accessible for people with communication disability.

I am part of a consumer reference group advising on disability access to V/Line train and coach services, as well as contributing to a culture of inclusion at V/Line. I’ve particularly provided input in regards to catering for less visible disability and enhancing Communication Access.

I advised and reported to the Minister for Transport about improving accessibility on the Victorian Public Transport Network. Key areas I advised on included the accessibility of major projects and transport accessibility policies

I advised and reported to the Minister for Disability about improving the quality of life for people living with disability. In particular, I was involved in various subcommittees in the areas of transport, education and the State Disability Plan.

The I Can Network, operated by Autistic people, promotes a ‘rethink’ of Autism in the community, with an aim to particularly improve education and employment outcomes. I was involved in mentoring students at schools and camps, and was also an ambassador.

Some of my work as a freelance graphic designer included:• Creating a visual bus timetable (for the City of Greater Bendigo) to enable people with intellectual disability to independently catch buses• Creating a series of photographic cards for Innovative Resources (for use as welfare, personal development and team building resources)•Contributing to the design of an Annual Report in collaboration with other graphic designers•and Designing various materials such as booklets, posters, flyers, logos for a range of not-for-profit organisations

* Designed a range of corporate materials for Alpha Autism (e.g. brochures, forms and newsletter templates)• Designed resumes for outgoing Disability Employment Service consultants• Undertook design work for external clients• Photographed at various Alpha Autism gatherings• As a freelancer (prior to employment), organised the design of Alpha Autism’s annual report and undertook a photo shoot for the reportI also undertook work experience with Alpha Autism as a university student in 2010 and ran a trivia night fundraiser for them as part of La Trobe University's Infinity Leadership Program in 2011.

I advised and informed the development of the Victorian Autism State Plan. I represented the lived Autism experience. I also spoke at the official launch of the Autism State Plan in 2009.
