As a graduate student at UCLA and as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Toronto, I developed software and analysis tools to extract information about the nature of dark matter from fascinating and visually spectacular strong gravitational lenses. Prior to starting graduate school at UCLA, I finished a BS in Physics with minors in Math and Spanish at James Madison University in Virginia, and did internships at Ad Astra Rocket Company (Houston, TX) and the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (Pasadena, CA). It was during my internship at NASA that I was first exposed to the world of gravitational lensing and dark matter.
