    Associate Goverment Program Analyst
California Secretary Of State Aug 2019 - Aug 2020
    Sacramento, California, United States
As an Associate Governmental Program Analyst, I was responsible for creating and coordinating outreach and training events for the Safe at Home program. I worked primarily with non-profit and governmental organizations that provided services to victims/survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking and elder/dependent adult abuse. I conducted these events both in-person and virtually throughout the state to diverse audiences. I was the lead staff member during the development and implementation of a novel database and application system that involved onboarding nearly 300 organizations, statewide. This required me to develop a project plan to ensure that tasks were appropriately assigned to team members and dates were set for deliverables to ensure we completed the project in a timely manner. In this position, I was the primary point of contact for nearly 300 organizations, so I exercised strong written and verbal communication skills as well as time management/scheduling skills when it came to coordinating site visits or online trainings. I was also responsible for recruiting new organizations, especially in rural areas and those who primarily served underrepresented clientele (e.g., Native Americans, LGBTQ+, elderly). To accomplish this required me to develop strong interpersonal skills to effectively and compassionately communicate with groups of various backgrounds and perspectives.

Independently, I provided great bed-side manner to ensure I addressed the patient's needs, inform them of the treatments and any changes. This position truly developed my problem-solving skills as there were many instances were an individual's status would change, or there would be a gap in communication from either the discharging or receiving facilities (i.e., wrong addresses, flights of stairs for a non-ambulatory person). These situations exposed me to working under stressful situations that also included many interruptions (talking on the phone with the hospital or dispatcher while continuing to provide care to the patient).
