Reporting directly to Vice-President level. Lead my team to achieve Purchasing targets: Cost Reduction Projects, Yearly Negotiations, Payments terms and Commodity strategies for all America’s region. Benchmark with other regions. Follow up Index Market trends per Commodity. PPV vs Spend reports to VP and President Level. Give support to Production Plants and chargebacks negotiations. Evaluate any Raw Material Price Impact and Mitigate any increases before affecting the company. Analyze future strategies with Sales VPs to ensure and improve Company’s profit. Supervise RFQs on time and responses to JSS Costing group. Protect contracts with suppliers such as Capacity and Feasibilities studies. Quarterly review per Business Unit with overall commodities. Most Important Activity: To create the best environment within the team and ensure each Buyer and Manager belongs to their position by analyzing their results and constant feedback. Position: Commodity Manager Activities:  Responsible to approve and buy all the Textile and Leather for America’s region business related to steering wheels, seatbelts and airbag devices.  To make RFQs, negotiation of products, Rebates and LTAs agreements. To make Analysis of Total Cost considering quality, delivery, capacity, production and workability of leather.  To support developing boundary books based in customer specifications, buy parts for mass production, prototype orders, tooling and service parts. Supplier Development Program with plastics and all leather suppliers in order to standardize their processes, follow up quality issues for overall components along with SQA department, development of the leather commodity, follow up Hide Market index, validate patterns and product on the lines, follow up timing for new programs to be ready before SOP and to perform monthly visits to suppliers located at Europe and AmericaAchievements:  Targets of 3% Savings were achieved and overpassed up to 15% representing up to 10 Million USD per year.  Leather Scrap Reduction: Initial = 20-25% to Current = 5-3%. Supplier chain Reduction, Standardization of processes in order to define business with current suppliers, Knowledge in Leather processes.

Position: Quality Engineer / PPAPActivities:  Approval of subcomponents for production by making test and recollection of documents based in the AIAG norms.  To realize test to approve the operation and performance of components for mechanisms. To make modifications to the initial design of a tool to improve assemblies. To Assembly parts in the fixtures of the line for quality assurance.  To follow up tasks assigned to suppliers for mechanical failures and maintenance problems. To solve quality issues with the tools at supplier’s companies.  To realize Quality reports as part of the Quality Audit Program.  To make PPAP documentation internally for customer approval.

Purchasing and Quotes, Stock management and weekly customer’s reports. Planning and general managing of railroad track construction projects with customer. To elaborate the estimate cost of machinery usage during construction projects. To develop the design and procedure to install a railroad track and prepare the maintenance program sheet. To elaborate reports of the track design such as components, mechanical properties and operation for approval of the federal railroad track owners. To supervise the installation of mechanical and electronic devices at the railroad track. Research for possible failures and maintenance problems for railroad tracks constructed. To improve stock system to avoid any loss of raw material. Supervision of the different teams in distinct projects.  Cost reductions for machinery rent and material supplies.  Staff in charge: Two Teams: First one with 25 people for private projects and a Second for Rail Companies Projects.
