Hello, my name is Daniel Gonzalez and I am currently a Manufacturing Hardware Technician at Metropolis. I graduated from the University of Washington Bothell with a BS in Mechanical Engineering accompanied by a minor in Mathematics. I am a first generation college student, as my family immigrated to the United States from Cienfuegos, Cuba in 1991. I have always loved experimenting with how things work and come together to make a final product. At the age of 12 I took on the challenge of rebuilding my first engine out of a 80s turbo diesel Mercedes. Thanks to this interest at a very young age, I kept learning about cars and it has become my passion, and something id love to work on in the future, focusing on the design and manufacturing of gasoline and diesel engines and reaching higher efficiencies. I was able to apply my engineering skills in the field of construction, and am now looking to transition back into an Engineering focused job. I am very excited to see how I can contribute to this industry with my skills and am also ready to learn new skills and make new connections in the industry.
