Platoon Leader
Current• Accountable for platoon operation readiness. Responsible for developing the platoon into a responsive, skilled and aggressive combat unit, capable of rapid and effective deployment to a joint, combined arms fight. • Maintains command relationships with soldiers of all ranks within the Platoon; monitors drill attendance and performance. • Attends AT, gunnery, unit drills and optional training events. • Supervises, evaluates, disciplines, trains, and communicates effectively. • Implements and monitors professional development programs. Actively participates in recruiting and retention programs. • Directly responsible for aircrew training in conjunction with unit IP's/SP's. Monitor and manage platoon ATP requirements in concert with unit IP's/SP's. • Develops proficiency in the aircraft; attains the designation of PC. • Acts as Commander when necessary. Performs additional duties as assigned.
