Assessing design proposals of highway schemes led by Districts and their external delivery partners on the TCF Quality Panel to ensure legal compliance with national and local transport policy standards such as LTN1/20 and the National Bus Strategy. Supporting tasks for several of WYCA’s successful funding bids to the UK government, including for the Active Travel Fund and Levelling Up Fund. Helping to deliver large WYCA led interchange projects. Including coordinating access arrangements, stand allocations and mitigation measures to minimise disruption to customers on the network.Research to inform the allocation of Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) funds into bus services and monitoring network usage. Supporting the onboarding of a team of Assistant Transport Planners and Apprentices by delivering task briefs and software training, and marking apprenticeship assessments.Using QGIS and FME data manipulation software for project analysis. Partaking in public engagement events and preparing Equalities Impact Assessments to ensure the needs of all users were being met.

Writing complex Transport Assessment, Transport Statement and Travel Plan reports to support large and small scale development planning applications.Junction Modelling, using PICADY, ARCADY and LINSIG, along with the preparation of detailed traffic flow diagrams to test different scenarios. Preparing accessibility mapping using TRACC and accompanying GIS plans in MapInfo. Producing marketing and engagement materials through a variety of different means, including developing specially tailored Travel to Work customer surveys and resident travel websites. Using AutoCAD for several purposes including swept path analysis and site access drawing arrangements.
