Working with groups of current students in CDS DS 120, I helped clearly and effectively explain mathematical concepts that serve as a foundation to Data Science. I tailored my office hours to allow student's to lead the direction of our discussion, and explained broader concepts and provided practice questions when needed.Discussion topics include: Linear Independence and Bases, Gauss-Jordan Algorithm, Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors, Projections, Linear Regression, Perceptrons and Logistic Regression, Multivariable Differentiation, Lagrange Multipliers, Gradient Descent, Probability, Expectation, Variance, Confidence Intervals, and Gaussian Distributions.

I expanded upon my teamwork and leadership skills by communicating cross functionally to ensure customer satisfaction and drive sales. In particular, I facilitated the sale of over fifteen-hundred dollars of food and drink each night, while caring for the overall customer experience of our guests. I would make an effort to remember returning patrons and their favorite items, and make conversation with them to make them feel welcome. I would also recommend drinks off of our extensive wine and cocktail menu that would pair well with their meals. Outside of these day-to-day responsibilities, I had the opportunity to train new members of our team in accordance with the restaurant’s standards.
