I am assisting in the regeneration research project by identifying neuroprotective proteins in cone photoreceptors using zebrafish as a model organism. I conducted analytical experiments to determine gene activity through immunohistochemistry, fluorescent-activated cell-sorting, and 3´mRNA sequencing. I gained valuable experience while working independently, under supervision, and as part of a research team.
