My name is Daniel Griese. I am a third-year architecture student at Drury University. I commenced my secondary education at Missouri S&T, where I pursued Mechanical Engineering. However, upon realizing that engineering lacked the creative and problem-solving elements I sought, I took a hiatus and explored various subjects at St. Charles Community College, ultimately earning my Associate of Arts and Science degree. During this period, I delved into diverse courses and discovered my passion for architecture and design.Subsequently, I transferred to Mizzou, where I immersed myself in their architecture program for a year. This experience deepened my appreciation for the art of architecture, prompting me to seek education at a licensed and more established institution. Consequently, I transferred to Drury, where I have been honing my skills and expanding my knowledge.I have had the privilege of working for two firms. Initially, I was with Dale Peer Housing, primarily serving as a draftsman for custom single-family homes. Subsequently, I interned at Architects Design Guild in St. Louis, Missouri, where I engaged in all facets of commercial architecture.I am set to graduate with a Master of Architecture and a minor in Business Administration in the spring of 2027, with aspirations of establishing my own firm.
