I qualified as a Primary School Teacher in 2011, and worked in a number of schools around Greater Manchester. Each school came with it's own challenges that had to be overcome, be that social deprivation, language difficulties through immigration or Special Education Needs within the classroom. I had to have excellent time management skills to plan my day, data handling skills to ensure that I knew where children were up to in their learning and the ability to work to set deadlines, be that for an observation, or achieving the curriculum in the correct timeframe. I began working at Sainsbury's as a Christmas temp in 2016, and I was quickly noticed as someone with potential and within a week I was offered a permeant job on the back door. Within four months, I had been accepted on to the Team Leader training course, and I was put in charge of a team of colleagues on the Twilight department. Here I had to plan the shift out for the night to ensure that the key tasks that I had to complete, were completed. I would also work alongside new starters to ensure they quickly got up to speed with what was expected of a colleague. I was responsible for getting delivery onto the shelves, the store dressed to perfection and a clear handover was given to the next manager. I have worked as a room leader at a local nursery, in charge of a small team. I had to check their plans for the day, offering my knowledge and expertise to help them guide their key children in their learning. I helped to advance the rooms I worked in, and help led the nursery on a pathway towards an Outstanding grade. Currently I am employed at Allied Bakeries. I work on the Buns plant. I am fully trained along the plant. I can mix and package the product as a Manufacturing Technician, as well as working in ingredients, and in other important parts of the baking process. I am always eager to learn, and I am currently training on the bread plants.
