I was working with the assembly line to build and layer cakes to fulfill the orders of different clients and customers. This was a very fast-paced business and was extremely labour intensive which I enjoy. I quickly learned the different roles of the assembly line and constantly worked hard to guarantee a satisfied customer by working fast while also creating quality cakes by paying close attention to detail. Additionally, I was able to master many skills such as the use of a palette knife to ensure an evenly layered cake which lead me to be able to train new employees working within my assembly line. Quick to learn, I was also able to become proficient in producing icing and jam from scratch, baking cake sponges from scratch, designing the final product, and also packaging. Working at La Rocca Creative Cakes was a great learning experience and has sparked some curiosity within myself to learn more about baking and producing desserts.
