I was tasked with researching, identifying, and approaching new potential customers and carriers for R+L through hands-on collaboration with Account Executives and Senior Account Executives while also maintaining current customer relations. Customer satisfaction was of utmost importance so it was vital that I negotiated rates and quotes to capture business while also proposing the best possible logistics solution. I was required to be readily available to respond to shippers, carriers, and drivers regarding dispatch of freight, pick-up's, deliveries, and tracking and tracing their freight based needs.

I joined the Bass Pro Shops team due to my love for the outdoors. I was a sales associate in the Marine Department where I was responsible for selling GPS/Fish Finding Units. Among this I was also responsible for keeping inventory on the sales floor, running inventory checklists, fronting and facing shelf pegs, keeping a clean and organized department, and most importantly: customer service. I made sure to put the customers first and help answer their questions as best I could. I often dealt with people who are new to boating so I used my years of boating experience to help guide them in the right direction.
