Executive Secretary
1. Developing and maintaining a working relationship with various organizations in the city of Lowell,including City Manager’s office, Mayor’s office, Lowell: City of Learning, MiddlesexCommunity College, UMass/Lowell, Lowell Celebrates Kerouac, Whistler House Museum,Lowell Film Collaborative, New England Quilt Museum, and Lowell National Park,2. Researching, contacting and negotiating with speakers, artists, authors, musicians, performers andagents for each Program Year (June 1 through May 31)3. Scheduling and coordinating events in appropriate locations throughout the City of Lowell4. Designing and arranging for printing of a Calendar of Events with photos no later than July 15 of eachyear5. Distributing the Calendar of Events to Merrimack Valley libraries, schools and other local institutions6. Promoting and advertising the Lecture Series through social media, newspapers and radio, asappropriate7. Attending each event and introducing the artist(s). If unable to attend an event, the Executive Secretarywill arrange for a Trustee or another appropriate person to take his/her place.8. Greeting guests at our events and making sure their needs are met9. Paying the speakers, artists, etc.10. Developing an annual budget no later than May 1 of each year11. Communicating with BNY Mellon concerning the Trust Fund12. Maintaining a checking account at BNY Mellon13. Paying all bills incurred by the organization14. Maintaining all necessary records15. Preparing an Annual Report for the Board of Trustees no later than October 1 of each year
