My role as Technical Officer involves co-ordinating and reporting of Process & facility changes and design changes for supplied vehicle components, ensuring submissions of PSW & PPAP documentation conform to ANPQP standards.As part of my role I will be responsible for enhancing the design and process change systems to develop supplied parts conformity.I carry out troubleshooting and 4M change management activities with local suppliers, co-ordinating supplier audits where necessary and I must also manage and monitor 4M change information request and receipt with Nissan's global suppliers.I am also the acting QA Engineer for a small number of suppliers and have the ambition to stepping up into a full engineer role when the opportunity becomes available.

My role as PQA Inspector requires me to lead investigations into supplied vehicle component concerns.I am responsible for investigation, conclusion and reporting of concerns raised by production, raising non-conformance where necessary against suppliers.Trained in a number of investigative and measurement techniques including CMM and 3D software, I am able to use my knowledge to come to swift conclusions which allows me to implement proactive and reactive countermeasures to ensure production continuity to reduce the impact of non-conforming components.I must also be in correspondence with the supplier to ensure the concern is rectified at the source, this includes supplier meetings to discuss countermeasures as well as reviewing and approving 8D submissions.

My time at IPB saw me involved in manufacturing for Oil and Gas industries at an ISO 9001:2015 accredited company, I have 8 years’ experience carrying out manufacturing processes on induction formed bends for some of the industry’s biggest clients such as Subsea 7, Shell, BP and HPF Energy etc. This included machining, precision engineering and various other processes such as mechanical testing on pipes ranging from 2”NB up to 30”NB. All work carried out has been done on an extensive list of materials including carbon steel, stainless, duplex, super duplex, Inconel, Inconel cladding etc.
