Daniel Hadidi received his bachelor's degree (BS) in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Washington in 2014 and his doctorate degree (PhD) in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus in 2019.During his undergraduate career, Daniel worked in a number of research labs gaining experience in the basic sciences including biochemistry, cellular biology, and neuropharmacology. These experiences contributed to a passion for clinical research and non-pharmacological approaches to treating and preventing chronic disease. During his graduate career he went on to study the dietary attitudes and behaviors, as well as role of omega fatty acids, in the health of male Veterans with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). He also contributed to studies investigating the microbiome of Veterans and the therapeutic potential of probiotics in Veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).Daniel currently works with the Seattle-Denver Center of Innovation Research (COIN) and Office of Specialty Care Services (OSCS) within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to help develop and implement evidence-based pain management and opioid safety guidelines. He is passionate about helping to reduce the incidence and prevalence of Opioid Use Disorder among Veterans and integrate non-Opioid therapies into pain management protocols.
