Dan serves as Senior Principal at New State Capital Partners, an entrepreneurial-minded private equity firm that invests in market-leading companies with up to $40M of EBITDA. Dan joined New State Capital Partners in 2020 to lead Special Strategies. He brings 20+ years of distressed credit, private equity and investment banking experience across a variety of industries, including aviation, industrials, metals, financials, infrastructure and consumer retail. Mr. Han has served on over 10 corporate boards, including those of publicly-listed companies. In addition to traditional buyouts, Dan has led numerous restructuring and distressed credit investments.Previously, Mr. Han was the Co-Head of North American Investments at Strategic Value Partners, a leading distressed credit investment manager based in Connecticut. Prior to Strategic Value Partners, Dan served as a Principal at Wellspring Capital Management, a middle-market buyout fund, where he sat on the investment committee and led transactions across the industrial and consumer sectors. He started his career in the M&A group of J.P. Morgan in New York.
