As an intern at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Madison County I worked in the Hops Program, a new department created to aid the growth of the new hops growing and microbrewery industry in Upstate NY. My responsibilities included using Microsoft Office Word and Excel to: ● Analyze survey data collected from hops growers and present data as a statistical reportwith figures and text to justify the use of a New York State grant and obtain future grants for the Hops Program● Compile a 40 page annotated bibliography of hops cultivation and production resources,including books, websites, and articles for use by potential and current hops growers● Engage in project-planning and observe community impacts of non-profit businesses by attendinginter-departmental meetings and visiting local hops growers and breweries
